Motorcycle Drive

Got some new tires today for my motorcycle. It was especially nice because I had to drive like 40 minutes through great, warm, beautiful Northern California.

Then I took in a movie with my wife (who had to carry the new tires). Very relaxing.

Now I’m catching up on Heroes so I can have a knowledgeable conversation on Monday night when he comes over to spend the evening with us.

Come Together

Psalms 34:3-4 (GW) Praise the Lord’s greatness with me. Let us highly honor his name together. I went to the Lord for help. He answered me and rescued me from all my fears.

I have been spending the week with friends. We participate in business session and of course, that’s not all that “fun.” However, there is something beyond the business … and that’s hanging out with people you are building or re-visiting relationships.

Relationships are important. But then there is another element in these few days this week involved in this conference. We are actually meeting together to worship, learn, and are gathered in the name of the Lord. THAT’S what is making an impact on me. It’s nice, it’s powerful, and it’s very important to stop, and …. well… listen!

Easter

Mark 16:1-8

1 Saturday evening, when the Sabbath ended, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome went out and purchased burial spices so they could anoint Jesus’ body. 2 Very early on Sunday morning,[a] just at sunrise, they went to the tomb. 3 On the way they were asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” 4 But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled aside.

5 When they entered the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a white robe sitting on the right side. The women were shocked, 6 but the angel said, “Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth,[b] who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid his body. 7 Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died.”
